Bratislava

I woke this morning to our boat butting the side of the lock. I pulled back the curtain and the other cruise ship was in there at the same time. The next time I awoke we were eye to eye with this ship docked in Bratislava.

The day was once again cloudy as we headed off on our city tour. We headed up to their castle which was very plain and over renovated. A look down over the city clothed in fog and not very appealing at a all. I decided to go back to the boat for a bit of me time. 

The afternoon was spent looking around the shops and purchasing a couple of items. My extra bag is now full. We have a gala dinner tonight so I'm heading off to shower and get ready for cocktail hour.

Dinner took 2.5 hours to get through 8 courses. I had ordered the veal roulade for one course with risi Pisi rice. When it arrived it was full of peas (risi Pisi means pea rice yuck who would do this to rice) I began to pick them out but it was too much for me. The waiter kindly replaced my dish with a fillet of trout which was much better. Dessert was baked Alaska and arrived in the form of a parade with fireworks on the dish and music and a lot of clapping.
