Budapest NYE

We arrived into Budapest on a cloudy and foggy day? I had just spent an hour getting my hair done so. I was feeling very relaxed. lunch again was amazing and I must stop having pudding with my lunch. I did go to the gym this morning although my effort was not the best. My body is definitely showing the effects of a month without swimming and too much vino and Kai.
I wandered into the markets today on my own and had a great explore? I love visiting the supermarkets in each country to look at the different food. So many stalls were devoted to paprika in this market.
the afternoon was spent exploring Budapest sights on our excursion bus. We got to have a wonder around another beautiful church and. Heros square. It is meant to be the middle of winter and snowing in hungry but the trees are still holding onto their brown leaves and the outdoor ice skating rink has been closed due to the melting ice. I suppose it doesn't help with the city built on boiling water.
It reminds me of rotorua(without the smell) with steam popping out of every vent or drain in the streets.
Our New Year's Eve aboard the amadeus began with fortune telling. You melt a piece of metal in a spoon on a blow torch and then drop it into the water. They take out the shape and tells you about it. 2014 is going to be more fun, well it's been a good start.
Our meal and free flowing wine just went on and on tonight. Hungarian folk dancing came next however I ditched this for the solidarity of the top deck. Tucked up in a deck chair in my blanket sipping on my wine I reflected on where I actually was.. Wow little old me in Budapest for New Years 2013. Another event I won't ever forget.
Budapest is an intriguing city with its interesting history and beautiful architecture. At midnight we cruised the Danube for the countdown. Champagne in hand and fireworks all around us we chin chinned with people of many cultures.
A midnight buffet and a few more wines before a 2am bedtime. Not bad considering I don't usually make it to midnight.
The only picture I got with a firework in it.

Our boat is the one docked on the outside.
