Piza

Today we put our luggage in storage for a few hours and went and explored Piza. My bank balance took a hit of a hit as I say saladi 50% everywhere. I keep forgetting it is euro not nzd and I am not getting the bargain I think I am.

The leaning tower of Piza was a lot smaller than I thought and we didn't bother walking up instead I had a wine and pizza for lunch whithin view of it.

Two more trains from Piza and we were in Siena. This was a lively surprise. Our hotel was down below the town but we had about 6 escalators to take us up to the old town. When we got up there it was buzzing. Shops and locals everywhere. After a wee wander we turned left into this arch way and found the most beautiful square. I could've stayed here all night it was beautiful and oozing atmosphere. We had a couplea wines and some tea before finishing off with another gellato cone before going back down to bed. Two more days in Siena.
