When arriving at our Villa in levanto the old Italian guy couldn't speak English however we soon realised we had the run of the place with a lovely room with a large balcony. Coffe machine in the yard surrounded by lime and olive trees with our breakfast freshly delivered to our room from the bakery in the morning.
The town seems to close at 12.30 and it is like a ghost town but at 4.30 it starts back up again. The happening place was the laundromat where I turned up on my bicycle with my washing in the basket leaving Mel back at the villa being a washer woman in the sink. She was so jealous when I arrived back with my freshly laundered washing and hers was still dripping on the deck.
Tea was a bit of a let down but that was ok because we were ful from the bar snacks of yummy breads, pizzas, nuts, olives etc. When we popped into this place for a wine earlier we got free snacks as well, pastries and cakes.
We are so pleased to be stranded here for the next 4 days.
