Cruise done

As i travel down through the snowy Austrian and italian mountains i have been reflecting on my river cruise. It was just what i needed at the time and it was great to have everything organised for me. 

The down side were the people. From the 100 rude germans to the staff that were just too friendly. To begin with i laughed and joined in their banter but as the days rolled on it all became fake and contrived.

 The excursions for me were too slow and i would take off and explore. I think that has a lot to do with me not liking being told what to do. 

Recommendations by the cruise director were made on the amount we were to tip 40€ each! Iknow this is the european wAy but it just doesnt sit right with me.

Lastly as we were leaving the boat today the wonderful service quickly disappeared and the faces thst were once smiley were now more like grimaces. Oh well i take my hat of too them i couldnt do their job.

Would i river cruise again? Yep sure would, great way to relax snd see the country and im not on there to make friends.
