Today we walked from levanto to monterossi . It took 2.5 hours and we climbed over 300ft. The track is used by hunters On wednesdays and and sun days to shoot wild boar and all along the track you can see where they have been rooting the ground. When we finally made it to the monterossi side the view was breathtaking. You could see all 5 towns of the cinque terre although a bit hazy towards the last one. We ambled down like mountain goats (well old nana ones) to the town for lunch, a yummy basil pasta. The train back took 4mins and was so much easier but at least I may have walked off some of my pastry butt or my gellato hips or maybe even some of my wine belly. Bloody Italy it has a lot to answer for. One town down 4 to go.
