After a picturesque journey out to gatwick airport on the train we arrived early and spent most of the day in the airport. Lots of people watching and trying to fit my camera bag into my hand luggage as you are only allowed 1 bag. Have got a bad case of bag envy as I watch people wheeling there luggage around while I lug my heavy pack. May just send my pack home and upgrade to wheels. I have already got at extra 2 kg and I haven't bought anything yet.
I have been in a skirt and t shirt for the last couple of days as it has bee unseasonably warm.
Easy jet must be a relation to jet star as the service was the same but I suppose I have been spoilt on emirates lately.
We arrived in lisbon at 7.30pm and got a taxi to our hotel. the taxi driver drove around and around and we finally arrived at ou airport hotel and he charged us €20. Had dinner at our hotel which consisted of rice, steak, chips and salad. Was yum though. Highlight of the day €3 for a glass of wine that resembled a fish bowl, maybe I will like it here. Can't wait to see what daylight brings.
