Hola from madrid

The night train was an experience however my sleeping tablets came in handy. At 2.45am a lady woke everyone up asking aus a question in portugese. Me, half asleep is like wtf and she keeps grump ing at me and repeating her questions, so I grab my glasses and try to read the paper she had. One more harumph for the portugese nazi and she wrote on the paper in capital letters MADRID. I said yes and she stomped off up the train to Mel who was sleeping soundly. Couldn't they have asked at an earlier time FFs. So I took another sleeping pill thinking I needed to sleep till 9am but with the time difference a man was shaking me quite strongly trying to wake me at 7am. Cool night experience on train, finished and me still half asleep.
No taxis for us today we managed to find our way around the metro system and neck minit we in front oh hotel door Olay.
Thoroughly refreshed from our sleep we jumped on  a sights bus and head off around the city.
Madrid is a beautiful city, well maintained and very clean. the autumn trees were a sight to behold and the markets and art in the park was  interesting.

The sun is warm upon your face and umm your legs that is if you are the only person in Spain wearing shorts. I think I was the newest tourist attraction and especially the locals who were ogling my summer attire in winter.
just before siesta time We dined on a tasty seafood paella yummmm, Mel didn't like it so I ate hers.
Back to hotel to chill with our duty free baileys before we hit the streets again. Our hotel is on the busiest street but the noise level inside is zilch. It's weird to open the door to such a ruckus. Let me out there.
Buenos nachos
